Victor F. Kampmann, 94, a resident of Pine Haven Christian Home in Sheboygan Falls, passed away on Friday, February 19, 2010.
Victor was born on August 26, 1915 in the Town of Lima, son of the late John and Marie (Ehren) Kampmann. He was a 1934 graduate of Sheboygan Falls High School. On June 26, 1943 he married Helen Bachmann in Sheboygan Falls. Helen preceded him in death on October 27, 1993. Victor was employed with the City of Sheboygan Falls Department of Public Works for 20 years until his retirement in 1980. Previously he was employed with Richardson Furniture Company for 19 years.
Victor was a member of Blessed Trinity Parish in Sheboygan Falls where he served as an usher and on the Holy Name Society. He was also a member of Knights of Columbus and the St. Mary Cemetery Association. Victor enjoyed flowers, gardening, and spending time with his family. He was also an avid baseball and Green Bay Packer fan.
Survivors include four daughters, Rose (Robert) Moran of Sheboygan Falls, Barbara (Tom McPherson) Binkowsky of Sheboygan Falls, Sarah (Neil) Schnicke of Howards Grove, and Sue (friend Al Z.) Conn of Sheboygan Falls; eight grandchildren, Missy (Tom) Burgard, Scott (Maria) Moran, Richard (Karen) Binkowsky, Michell (friend Ulrick) Ramminger, Jason (Sara) Schnicke, Heidi (David) Baumann, Nate (Fiance’ Kerrie) Maertz, and Valerie (Tom) Bonnos; 15 great grandchildren, Jonathon, Nicholas, Jacob, Eric, Luke, Austin, Emily, Andrew, Grace, Paige, Ella, Dominic, Bella, John, and Kevin.
Victor was preceded in death by his wife, Helen, one sister Marie “Mayme” (Charlie) Lorenz and two brothers, Henry and Art (Marie) Kampmann, sister-in-law, Dorothy (Melvin) Kane.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, February 22, 2010 at 5:00 pm at Blessed Trinity Parish in Sheboygan Falls with the Rev. Bob Lotz officiating. Burial will take place at St. Mary Cemetery in Sheboygan Falls.
Friends may call at the church on Monday from 3:00 until the time of the Mass.
A memorial fund has been established in Victor’s name for Blessed Trinity Parish.
