Rudolph Neumann

Rudolph Neumann, 99, of Reedsburg, passed away peacefully of natural causes on Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at Ridgeview Terrace, Senior Life Center. Rudolph was born April 2, 1917, in Garden City, Kansas to the late Ferdinand and Maria (Grosz) Neumann. On June 8, 1940 he married Phyllis Cziok in South Milwaukee. She preceded him in death in November of 2009. He retired as a Plant Superintendent at Schlitz Brewery in Milwaukee in 1979 after over 25 years of service. Since moving to Reedsburg, Rudolph has been a member of St. John Lutheran church. Rudy loved his family and church and will be fondly remembered as a gentle man with a twinkle in his eye and a friendly greeting for all. He loved being with friends, singing, fishing, and watching football and baseball. His passing leaves a void for all who knew him. Survivors include his children; Son Gary (C.J.) Neumann of Reedsburg, Daughter Laurel (Robert) Woodward of Franklin, Son Craig Neumann of Simi Valley CA. His grandchildren; Jeffrey, Elise, Bethany, Daniel, Gretchen, Jessica and Ashley, And 11 great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife Phyllis, he was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters. A memorial service for Rudolph will take place Saturday June 18th at 11:00 am at St John Lutheran Church in Reedsburg. Visitation will also be on Saturday, at the church from 10:00 am until the time of service. The family would prefer memorials be directed to St. John Lutheran Church of Reedsburg, or Reedsburg Area Senior Life Center. Farber Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
