Mercedes Alice Wagner, 85, of Reedsburg, passed away Friday, June 24, 2016, at Golden Living in Wisconsin Dells. Mercedes was born June 11, 1931, in Westfield Township, Sauk County, to the late Charles and Emma (Schneider) Herritz. On February 10, 1951, she married Ervin Wagner. He preceded her in death December 31, 2009. Survivors include her children; Mary (Milo R.) Jackson of Lyndon Station, Linda Wagner and special friend Adam Smith of Cazenovia, Janet (Ray) Wegner of Reedsburg. Grandchildren; Diana (Blaine) Wood, Dennis (Michelle) Gardner, Ashley (Joseph) Vaughn. Great-Grandchildren; Nathan, Caitlyn, Kassie and Emily, Kayla, David and Dylan, Isiah, Zander, and Ava. Sister, Betty Mann of Iowa. Sisters-In-law: Adeline Herritz, Bernice Herritz, Norma Richert, and Laverne Wagner, all of Reedsburg. And many other nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her grandson Brian, her sister Evelyn, and two brothers Leonard and Julius. Funeral Services for Mercedes will take place Friday, July 1, 2016, at 11:00 am, at St. John Lutheran Church. The Reverend David Glesne will officiate. Visitation will also be on Friday, at the church, from 9:00 am until the time of service. Burial will follow services at St. John Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established in her name for St. John Lutheran Church or the Wisconsin Heart Fund. Farber Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
