John Myron Even, 73, of Reedsburg, passed away Thursday, October 27, 2016, at his residence. John was born October 29, 1942, to the late Paul and Catherine (Peterson) Even. Starting at eighteen years old, he was employed by Grede Foundry for 42 years until his retirement. He enjoyed watching sports on TV, he was even caught watching golf, a time or two. He also loved a good game of sheepshead with his cronies from Club 33, and had fun participating in a few local football pools. Survivors include his brothers and sisters; Anna Mae Sorenson of Mauston, Joan (Harley) Meyer, Robert Even, Paulette (Terry) Greenwood, all of Reedsburg, Sister-in-law Karen Fowell Aunt Mary Peterson And many other nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother Harold “Snap”, his twin brother Joseph, and his in-laws, Gloria Even and Donald Sorenson. Funeral Services for John will be held Wednesday, November 2, 2016, at 11:00 am, at Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg. Reverend David Glesne, Pastor of St. John Lutheran Church will officiate. Visitation will also be on Wednesday, at the funeral home, from 9:30 am until the time of service. Burial will follow services at Oak Lawn Cemetery in LaValle. A memorial fund has been established in his name. Farber Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
