Catherine Lorraine Andres, age 65, of Reedsburg, WI and Mesa, AZ passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 30, 2016, surrounded by her family. She was born on July 4, 1950, in Richland Center, WI, the daughter of Robert and Erma (Fuller) Shepherd. On October 3, 1970, Cathy was united in marriage to Charles W. Andres in Cazenovia. This marriage was blessed with three children. Cathy was employed at Grede Foundries in Reedsburg for 36 years. During that time, she held many different positions. She retired in June of 2010. One of Cathy’s greatest loves was sewing. With her expert talent she made bed quilts for all her grandchildren. Cathy loved to hunt, ride motorcycle and especially loved hiking the trails in Arizona. Cathy loved her angels, butterflies, hummingbirds and wind chimes. Above all, she cherished the time she spent with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Clifton and LeRoy Shepherd and Rick DeMarr. Cathy is survived by her husband, Charles; children: Charles Jr. (Michelle) Andres of Reedsburg, Catrina (Abe) of Baraboo, Christian (Penny) Andres of Mauston; Grandchildren: Taylor, McKaylee, Tanner, Tierney, Macey, Kyle and Mia; brothers: Robert (Judy) Shepherd, James (Cathy) Shepherd, and David (Pam) Shepherd all of IA; sisters: Shirley (Alec) DeMarr of IA, Joyce Shepherd of KY, Geraldine (Bob) Weber of IA, Gladys (Rick) Radcliff of Mauston, Ralene (David) Ludvigsen of IA; Several nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends. A private family memorial service will be held in her honor. The Farber Funeral Home, Reedsburg, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
