Ted Butcher Obituary

Ted A. Butcher, 87, of the Jackson’s Mill Community passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 peacefully at home in the arms of his family. He was born on February 17, 1929: son of the late Clarence and Delphia Butcher. On March 12, 1953, he married his loving wife of 63 years, Arabelle (Hunt) Butcher, who survives. Ted was preceded in death by his loving son: Ron Butcher, six brothers: Bob, Leo, Mark, Sam, Cleo and Archie Butcher and one sister: Denella Loughry. In addition to his wife, Mr. Butcher is survived by three children: Judy (Pete) Fattore of Aliquippa, PA, Gary (Tina) Butcher of Jackson’s Mill and Dodie (Mark) Arbogast of Jane Lew, six grandchildren: Jennifer (Chris) Ellison, Maria Fattore, Monica (Bryan) Wimer, Derek and Mason Arbogast and Bryson Butcher and four great grandchildren who brought him great delight: Parker and Mallory Ellison and Eli and Sawyer Wimer. He was also survived by his sister: Agnes Sholes of Jackson’s Mill, one sister-in-law: Edna Butcher of Lost Creek and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Butcher worked in the timber industry and could grow the most awesome garden. He loved life and would give anyone the shirt off his back. Ted served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Family and friends will be received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston on Saturday, April 2, 2016 from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m. from the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home chapel with Reverend Greg Miller and Reverend Richard Justice officiating. Interment will follow services in the Broad Run Church Cemetery of Jane Lew, WV. The Lewis County Honor Guard and the United States Army will confer full military honors.
