Jocephus Alfred John, 61, of 853 Winter Avenue Weston passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at his residence following a brief illness. He was born in Weston on November 15, 1954: son of Jocephus Eakin John of Weston and the late Shirley A. (Crowl) John. Mr. John is survived by three children: Timothy Scott (Barbara) John of Weston, Karen Janette John of Weston and Christa Ann Hendricks of Jane Lew and 8 grandchildren: Lindsey Grace John, Christopher Allen Thayer, Chelsea Christine Thayer, Mackenzie LeeAnn Hendricks, Connor James McAbee, Cameron Dole Garton, Bryson Cade John and Mikey Joe John. He is also survived by two brothers: Michael “Pat” John of North Pole, AK and Harvey B. John of Weston, one sister: Elizabeth Ann Blankenship of Weston and several nieces and nephews. Mr. John was a derrick hand working in the Oil Field for over 40 years. He enjoyed watching westerns on TV. His hobbies included being a Handyman and fixing all kinds of things and his family’s favorite was his cooking. He will be missed by family and friends. Jocephus’s wishes to be cremated will be honored. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. from the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Philip Strauss officiating.
