Alicia Rogers

Alicia Mae Rogers, 82, of Weston, peacefully left this life to be with the Lord on Monday, October 17, 2016 surrounded by family and loved ones at her home. She was born in Weston on August 27, 1934,: the daughter of the late Carl Marshall Cooper and Mary Myrtle (Droppleman) Cooper. Alicia was a graduate of St. Patrick High School with the Class of 1952. She was a homemaker and a loving wife and mother. Alicia lived life to the fullest. She married William M. (Bill) Rogers on November 17, 1953. They have five much loved children: Cynthia(Knox) Van Dyke, Susan Lynn Rogers, Sondra Rogers Poleway, Beverly Kay (Boo) Rogers and William M. (Rebecca Lynn) Rogers, II. These children gave her nine grandchildren: Teri Dalton, Mark Van Dyke, Kristen Davis, Megan Fitch, Sean Fitch, Brian Poleway, Skylar Rogers, Braunson Rogers and Rhiannon Rogers and four great grandchildren: Paige Van Dyke, Wyatt Van Dyke, Kylie Davis and Lacey Davis. Alicia was preceded in death by three sisters: Agnes Berthoff, Joann Wright and Margaret (Margie) Carder. Alicia loved traveling the United State and camping with her spouse of 62 years, the love of her life and soul mate. She also loved crafting, decorating her home, spending time with family and wintering at their home on Marco Island, Florida where she loved to fish. All that knew and loved her, know that she will be waiting in Heaven with open arms to welcome us, hug us and take us shopping when we join her. Family and friends will be received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue, Weston on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. from the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home chapel with Father James R. DeViese, Jr. J.C.L. Interment will follow services in the Weston Masonic Cemetery. On-line condolences and life stories in memory of Alicia may be expressed at hardman-palettifuneralhome.com.
