Robert Eugene “Bobby” McCoy, 53, of Coon’s Run Rd., Shinnston, passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at his residence. He was born in Fairmont, May 8, 1963, a son of the late Ellis LaFayette McCoy, Jr. and the late Vivian Lorraine Thomas McCoy. On June 30, 1998, he married Betty Jane Hall McCoy who preceded him in death on January 15, 2016. Surviving are three children, Melissa Helmick, Boothsville, Samantha Matheny and her husband Brad, Clarksburg, Angela Webb and he husband Joseph, Boothsville, four grandchildren, Hobie, Dakota, Bryson, and Kylie, brothers and sisters, Dennis McCoy and his companion Trish Kincaid, Boothsville, Mike McCoy and his wife P.J., Fairmont, Linda McCoy, Boothsville, Jo Ann Treece and her companion John Bissett, Monongah, brother-in-law, Mark Kisner, Wyatt, and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Nancy Kisner. Bobby was employed as a truck driver for Nuzum Trucking. He enjoyed camping, fishing, Harley Davidson motorcycles, and spending time with his grandchildren. He lived life to the fullest. The family will receive friends at the Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St., Shinnston, from 4pm until the time of the service at 7pm, Tuesday, August 30, with Pastor Bryant Bailey officiating. Cremation will follow the services.
