Robert Mayfield

Robert Lee Mayfield, 48, of Gypsy, passed away on Friday, July 29, 2016 as the result of a motorcycle accident while riding with his family. Robert was born in Clarksburg, October 4, 1967, a son of Georgenia Welch Mayfield, Gypsy, and the late Carroll “Buck” Mayfield. Robert is survived by his siblings; Tom Mayfield and his wife Wilma, Georgia, Carol Lanham, Gypsy, Tina Mayfield and her partner Chuck White, Enterprise, Aaron and Darren Mayfield, Gypsy, and Greg Mayfield and his partner Cheryl Kellar, Gypsy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; Kim Heyworth, GA, Justin Mayfield, TN, Chad Lanham, Gypsy, Shawn Lanham, DE, Joshua Mayfield, Hepzibah, Jessica Mayfield, Galloway, Cassie May, Hepzibah, and several great nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Robert graduated from Lincoln High School. He was a good hearted, caring, and loving man who would do anything for anyone. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, whether it be on a benefit ride or out with family and friends. Robert also enjoyed camping with his family and friends. He will be sadly missed, but never forgotten. The family would like to thank all those who assisted at the scene of Robert’s accident, especially the lady who preformed CPR. We may never know your names but we will be forever grateful for your efforts. The family will receive friends at the Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St., Shinnston, from 2-8pm, Wednesday. Cremation services will follow the visitation. Flowers are appreciated, however, memorial donations can be made to Biker’s for A Cure, 1520 Wickwire Rd., Grafton, WV 26354.
