Anita Sandy

Anita Ruth Sandy, 72, of Enterprise, passed away at 12:40am, Friday, May 13, 2016 at her residence following a brief illness. She was born in Bridgeport, July 6, 1943 a daughter of the late Francis Marion Jenkins and the late Ruth Evelyn Poling Booth. Surviving are her husband, James E. "Bud" Sandy, whom she married October 10, 1959, one daughter, Carol Snyder and her husband Rocky, Holmesville, OH, one granddaughter, Mariah Mumaw and her husband Andy, Holmesville, three great-grandchildren, Eilee, Lane, and Cohen, four brothers, Carl Jenkins and his wife Linda, Grafton, Wayne Jenkins, NC, Ronnie Jenkins and his wife Julie, TX, Charles Jenkins, OH, sisters-in-law, Kay Ash, Enterprise, LeEllen Sandy, Centerpoint, brother-in-law, Roy Sandy and his wife Linda, Enterprise, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Phyllis Marion Stahl, one brother, Lloyd Edward "Butch" Jenkins, her mother-in-law, Louise Halpenny, sisters-in-law, Delores Gregory, Joann Weekly, and brother-in-law, Rick Sandy. Anita was formerly employed as a produce manager for the State Food Store in Shinnston and the Giant Eagle and Shop and Save in Fairmont. She enjoyed quilting, flower gardening, and spending time with her family, especially her great-grand babies. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. The family will receive friends at the Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St., Shinnston, from 2-8pm, Sunday where funeral services will be held at 11am, Monday, May 16. Interment will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Enterprise. Condolences may be extended to the family at www.perinefunerals.com. The Perine Funeral Home is honored to serve the Sandy family.
