<p>Jon “Tommy Peters” T. Stearns, Sr., 64, of New Martinsville, WV formerly of Paden City, WV died Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at home.</p><p><br></p><p>“Tom” was born February 5, 1951 in Marietta, OH son of the late Ruth Ash (Peters) Stearns.</p><p><br></p><p>He was a dishwasher for the former Po Boy Restaurant, he loved cutting grass, walking, riding a bike and fishing.</p><p><br></p><p>Surviving are two sons, John Wayne Stearns and Jon Thomas Stearns, Jr. both of New Martinsville, WV; half brother, Steve Stackhouse of Columbus, OH and several aunts, uncles and cousins.</p><p><br></p><p>Friends received 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m., Monday, December 28, 2015 at the Steelton Church of Christ, 69 E Thistle Dr., New Martinsville, WV with Ed Melott officiating.</p><p><br></p><p>Interment to follow in Middlebourne Cemetery in Middlebourne, WV.</p><p><br></p><p>Memorial contributions may be made, in Jon’s name, to Paden City Vol. Fire Dept., 208 W Main St., Paden City, WV 26159.</p>Obituary
