Evelyn “Jean” Long, 82, of Pine Grove, WV died Saturday, April 2, 2016 while at Wheeling Hospital. Evelyn was born July 14, 1933 in Pine Grove, WV, daughter of the late Harry and Nancy (Cumerlidge) Martin. She was a homemaker, retired bookkeeper for the former Wetzel County Savings and Loan, previously worked at the former Pine Grove High School as a secretary, former secretary for Wetzel County Schools and member of the Pine Grove Church of God. Surviving are her husband of fifty-one years, Robert Long; sister, Brenda Martin; best friend, Delberta Lowden and several cousins. Friends received noon until 1 p.m., Friday, April 8, 2016 at the Williams Funeral Home, 12750 Shortline Hwy, Pine Grove, WV. Interment and graveside services 1:45 p.m., Friday, April 8, 2016 at Northview Cemetery in New Martinsville, WV with Pastor Mick Frye officiating.
