Donald Lee Withrow, 89, of Oak Hill, WV passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2016 at his home following a short illness. Born April 15, 1927 at Gatewood, WV he was the son of the late Tennis Judson Withrow and Ruby Garnet Canaday Withrow. Donald was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the United States Air Force. He worked in an automotive plant in Detroit, the steel mills in Cleveland, FMC Ordance in Charleston, before his employment and later retirement with the West Virginia Turnpike Commission. He was of the Christian faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Wilma Gay Light Withrow; his step-mother, Doris Howell Withrow; half-sisters, Wilda Pauletta, Mary Rombow, and Doris Hadox; step-brothers Roy, James, and John Flint. He is survived by one sister, Freida Withrow Flint; two half-sisters, Bonnie Pritt and husband Bobby; and Wanda Smallwood and husband Marsh; one step-sister, Loreda Mitchell; two nephews, Charles Lee Flint and wife Mary Lynn; Roger Dale Flint and wife Mary Ann; two nieces Leigh Flint Lefler and husband Christopher, Amy Flint Burns and husband Jason, Dr. Christopher Flint and fiancée Alyssa Harler; and a great nephew and two great nieces. Services will be conducted on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at 1:00 pm at High Lawn Funeral Home Chapel in Oak Hill with Rev. Pete Lokant officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and entombment will follow at High Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum, also in Oak Hill with military honors.
