Benjamin “Ben” Earl Maynus, 50 of N. Chesterfield, VA, went home to Jesus on Sunday, September 25, 2016. He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Maynus. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Shelia (nee Horrocks ) Maynus; his mother, Barbara Maynus; sisters, Rena Robinson (Gary), Clarissa Maynus; father and mother-in-law, Jack and Mary Sue Horrocks; brothers-in-law, Michael Horrocks and Brian Horrocks (Debbie). Though he was not blessed with children of his own he had the privilege of being Uncle Ben to Donna Lively (Les), Elissa Morton, Gary and David Tiller, Gary ‘gene Robinson, Jack, Joey, and Josh Horrocks, and great-uncle to Jaeden, Leslie, and Tyler. Ben also leaves behind his Calvary Baptist family and his Martin’s co-workers. Services will be conducted at 3pm Saturday, October 1, 2016 at the High Lawn Funeral Home Chapel in Oak Hill with Pastor Justin Seay officiating. Interment following at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens in Oak Hill. Friends may call from 1-3pm on Saturday at High Lawn Funeral Home.
