Our beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend, Maxine Muriel Gumm, 79, of Grantsville, WV went to her heavenly rewards, Thursday, April 7, 2016. Maxine was born May 26, 1936 to the late Paris and Gladys Newlon Frymier in Tanner, WV. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Densil P. “Jack” Gumm, brother, Robert Frymier and great-granddaughter, Briella Goodman. She was a Christian and a member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. Maxine’s proudest accomplishments were raising her family and working the family farm along-side of her husband; fulfilling their life-long dream. Surviving family members are sons, Bill (Sandy), John (Rolanna), Jim (Sarita), and Rick; siblings Reta (Wood) Stewart, Elaine Perrine, Merceline Bennett, Carolyn Sue (Bill) Amos, Bill Frymier, and Jack (Rosanna) Frymier, 13 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville, at 11 a.m. Monday, April 11, 2016 with Rev. David Weaver officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Hardman Chapel Cemetery, Smithville. Online condolences may be expressed at www.stumpfuneralhomes.com
