Lucille M. “Lucy” (Williams) Poling, age 49, of Thornton Pike, Thornton, WV passed away Saturday, June 25, 2016 at her residence. She was born March 18, 1967 in Trumbell, OH, a daughter of the late Robert Lee Williams, Sr. and Mary Maxine (Kellar) Williams. She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Donald R. Poling; two daughters, Rebecca Lynn Poling of Thornton and Kimberly Dawn Tasker and husband, Edward of Reedsville, WV; two grandchildren, Cameron Scott Poling and Hunter Ray Tasker; one sister, Barbara Sue Bolyard of Newburg (Scotch Hill Community), WV; two brothers, Robert Lee Williams, Jr. and James Franklin Williams, both of Thornton; and also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Michael Leon Simons. Lucy graduated from Grafton High School with the Class of 1985 and Vocational School in 1999. She was a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) for Rosewood Health Care Center in Grafton and the Veterans Nursing Home in Clarksburg. She was a member of the Parkview Church of the Nazarene. Lucy enjoyed her family, two grandsons, and her dog, “Itchy”. The family will receive friends at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton on Monday, June 27th from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour on Tuesday. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Michael Delligatti officiating. Interment will follow at the Woodsdale Memorial Park Cemetery.
