Helen Virginia (Goff) Edwards, age 84 of Julie Street, Kingwood, WV passed away Thursday, June 2, 2016 at her residence. She was born August 4, 1931 in Barbour County, a daughter of the late Nathan Peter and Hazel Helen (Wymer) Goff. She is survived by one son, Steven A. Edwards and wife, Linda of Wana, WV; six grandchildren, Tracy Martin (Bryan) of Wana, Lori Chisler (Rob) of Wadestown, Kelly Mayle (Gary) of Louisville, OH, Jason Edwards of Independence, Jill Funk (Donald) of Tunnelton, and Holly Paul (Billy) of North Canton, OH; eleven great-grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter; her very special friend and caregiver, Lance Carroll; one daughter-in-law, Linda A. Edwards of Independence; and one sister, Norma Pitzer of Ravenna, OH; also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack L. Edwards; two sons, Gerald Lee Edwards and Ralph L. Edwards; and four sisters, Sarah, Betty, Mary, and Carol. Helen worked at the WV Apparel Manufacturing Company for several years and then worked at the Preston County Senior Center in the kitchen, which she thoroughly enjoyed. She enjoyed her family, reading, and doing her needlepoint, and he was a member of the Mill Chapel Church in Kingwood. Funeral services were held at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton on Saturday, June 4, 2016 with Pastor Steve Edwards officiating. Interment followed at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
