Ernest Leon “Ernie” Weaver, age 70 of Haislip Cove Road, Grafton, WV passed away Friday, September 30, 2016 at his residence. He was born August 4, 1946 in Grafton, WV a son of the late Leon and Virginia Belle (Kennedy) Weaver. He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Connie Sue (Mayle) Weaver; two children Sheryl Lynn Mayle and husband, Franklin R. Mayle, Jr. and Joshua Leon “Josh” Weaver and wife, Tabitha, all of Grafton; four grandchildren, Kali Jade, and Taylor Nicole Mayle and Wyatt Wade and Chloe Brielle Weaver; two sisters, Sue Bice and husband, John and Laura Belle Jones and husband, Gary; two brothers, Jerry Weaver and Lonnie Weaver; one brother-in-law, Chuck Sheme all of Grafton; and also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Delores Sheme and one sister, Rita Faye who died in infancy. Ernie was a heavy equipment mechanic for Poling’s Trucking Company in Buckhannon for 18 years and also a truck driver for Refuse Control Systems in Grafton. He was a member of the NRA and the West Hill Wesleyan Methodist Church. The family will receive friends at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home on Monday, October 3rd. from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at the Pritchard Wesleyan Methodist Church at 12:00 noon with Rev. Paul Mullins and Rev. Mark Miller officiating. Mr. Weaver will lie in state at the church from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour. Interment will follow at the Pritchard Cemetery.
