George J. Buckner Wenatchee, WA George J. Buckner, born in Baltimore, MD, on February 12, 1933, died peacefully in Wenatchee on October 7, 2016. An article about his life and accomplishments was printed in the Sunday, October 9, 2016, Wenatchee World paper. George is survived by his wife, Marie, of 30 years, as well as his four children and two step-children: James (Katherine) Buckner, Jonathan Buckner, Christine (David) Charlip, Jennifer (Scott) Howland, Mark Kane, and Marci (Chris) Brunner. He is also survived by seven grandchildren: Joshua, Brady, Clarke, Lucy, Katherine, Madeline (MJ), and Ella and four step-grandchildren. George left behind a sister, Viera (Bill) Vahey. A memorial service is scheduled for Wednesday, October 12, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at Faith Presbyterian Church, 200 S. Kentucky, East Wenatchee, WA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in George’s name to Faith Presbyterian Church of East Wenatchee.
