Therese Marie Kraemer, “Terry”, 89, of Stephens City, VA passed away at her home, Saturday, September 17, 2016. Terry was born in Rockaway Beach, NY, March 7, 1927; the daughter of the late John and Irene Phillips Smith, Jr. She worked as a telephone operator for the New York Telephone Company. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. She married Leonard Kraemer, August 18, 1945 in Far Rockaway, NY. Along with her husband, she is survived by five sons, Leonard “Skip” Kraemer, Gary J. Kraemer of Cumberland, MD, Jeffery A. Kraemer of Stephens City, Randal P. Kraemer of Fairfax, VA and Gregory C. Kraemer of Winchester; two daughters, Leila M. Gillispie of White Post, VA and Terri-Ann Gardner of Lansing, KS; fourteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara A. Melnikoff; her sister Norma L. Nadler and four brothers, John W. Smith, Vincent L. Smith, Phillip Smith and Alfred G. Smith. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 22, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home, Winchester, VA.
