Eloise Genevieve Rustad Carey, 96, of Winchester, VA, passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2016 at Spring Arbor Assisted Living Facility. Mrs. Carey was born March 11, 1920 in Cannon Falls, MN, the daughter of the late Christian Rustad and Georgina Johnson Rustad. Eloise worked for Youth Home Missions from 1948 until she married Donald Floyd Carey on April 2, 1953 in Forreston, IL. She earned an Associate Degree in teaching, was a loving homemaker, and a member of the Fellowship Bible Church. She is survived by her daughter, Mona Lynne Carey (Joel Garbus) of Cambridge, MD; and her son, Mark Donald Carey (Lisa) of Stephen City, VA, seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. The Careys made their home on the family farm in Bancroft, NE. In 1992 they moved to Stephens City, VA to be closer to their children and grandchildren. Along with her parents, Eloise was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Carey in 1998, four brothers and two sisters. Services will be held at a later date at Fellowship Bible Church.
