Robert Edward (Bob) Jackson, 91, of Honaker, Virginia, passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2016. Born on December 22, 1924, in Russell County, Virginia, he was the son of the late Carl and Helen Hurt Jackson. He served his country in the US Air Force during WWII. Bob drove a school bus for over 40 years and operated his own taxi service.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Ruth Jackson Matney.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Anna Jackson; daughter, Sharon McNulty of Honaker; grandsons, Steven McNulty and wife Tonya of Honaker, Matthew McNulty and wife Amanda of Kingsland, Ga., and McKenzie McNulty and wife Melissa of Honaker; great-grandchildren, Shaynah McNulty of Tazewell, Va., Kalton McNulty of Kingsland, and Leeanna McNulty, Tyler McNulty, and Alayna McNulty all of Honaker; niece, Kristine Matney Hobson and husband, David of Lexington, Ky; several cousins and great nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2016, at 7 p.m. in the Owens Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Vonley Pruitt officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. prior to the service.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 24, 2016, in the Ketron Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Lebanon, Va., with military graveside rites conducted by the Lebanon VFW Post 9864. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the mausoleum.
