Reason Gray Musick, 93, of Lebanon, Va., went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 4, 2016. Born in Russell County, Va., on June 28, 1923, he was a son of the late Cummins and Sarah Fletcher Musick. He was of the Baptist faith. A UMWA member, he worked for Island Creek Coal Company for 34 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Bill Musick and Kirby Musick. The last surviving member of his immediate family, six brothers and two sisters also preceded him in death.

Reason loved his family and always put them first. Survivors include his loving wife of 74 years, Hazel Marie Baldwin Musick; son, Randy Musick and wife Brenda; grandchildren, Amanda Musick Hale and husband Les, all of Lebanon, Dennis Musick, Todd Musick and Diana Price; four great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Steve McGlothlin, Kerry Compton, Lewis Quesenberry, Harold Musick, Randy Musick, and Les Hale.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Lester, Jerry Stinson, Chris Stiltner, Toby Shortt and the Hardees family.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 7, 2016, in the Owens Funeral Service Chapel with Randy Williams and Avery Barton officiating. Interment will follow at Ketron Memorial Gardens in Lebanon.

The family will receive friends on Thursday after 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
