Nathan Edward Holmes, 27, of Lebanon, Virginia, passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2016. Born in Tazewell County, Virginia, on October 26, 1988, he was the son of the late James Edward and Rebecca Ann Boardwine Holmes. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by uncles, Richard "Dickie" Boardwine and Mark Boardwine and grandparents, Eugene and Mary Lou Boardwine.

Survivors include aunts and uncles, Stacy Boardwine, Phillip and Judy Boardwine, Kathy and Richard Holmes, Mary Alda Boardwine, Beverly Boardwine, Jennifer Ball; Jamey and Donna Boardwine , William David and Tammy Holmes, Roger Lee and Charlene Holmes and Chris and Amy Holmes; grandparents, William and Mary Etta Holmes; and numerous cousins, family and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 11, 2016, in the Boardwine and Garrett Family Cemetery in the Corn Valley section of Honaker, with Rev. Phillip Boardwine officiating.

Pallbearers will be Joseph Boardwine, Daniel Boardwine, Rodney Hale, David Holmes, Roger Holmes and Jamey Boardwine.
