Judy Carol Bass
<p>Judy Carol Matney Bass, 69, of Lebanon, Virginia, passed away at home on Friday, August 12, 2016, following a long illness. Born in Buchanan County, Virginia, on October 14, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Virginia Deskins Matney. She was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Mickey D. Matney. </p><p>Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Russell A. Bass; daughters, Marilyn Bass and Jennifer N. Bass Sontag and husband Chris; son Rusty Bass; special grandson, Noah A. Sontag; sister-in-law, Shirley Matney; nephew, Todd Matney and numerous cousins, family, and friends.</p><p>Special thanks to Home Nursing Company of Lebanon, especially Megan Lester and Mary Artrip for all of their special care and kindness.</p><p>Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. </p><p>Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 15, 2016, in the Owens Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Larry Robinson officiating.
