Joyce Ann (Mills) Skeen Obituary

Joyce Ann (Mills) Skeen, born in Harlan, Kentucky, went to our Heavenly Father in her sleep on Tuesday, August 23, 2016, at the lake with her son Tony K. Skeen and wife, Jessie A. Skeen.


Joyce was proceeded in death by parents, Woodrow and Mary Mills and brothers, David and Donnie Mills.


In addition to her son and daughter-in-law, survivors include her granddaughter, Samantha K. Skeen and fiance, Braydon Plaster; step-granddaughters, Kayla M. Compton of Lebanon and Nikki Phillips of Castlewood; four step-grandchildren; goddaughter, Tarrah Stanley and husband Jeremy and daughters Alyxandra and Isabelle; sister, Donna M. Edmonds of Lebanon, brothers, Ronnie Mills and wife, Carolyn of Spring City, TN, and Tommy Mills of Lebanon; sister-in-law, Kathy Mills of Lebanon; special friend, Stephanie Parks of Lebanon; special long-time friends, Ann Wingler, PA, Phyllis Shores of Bristol and Virta Lue of Castlewood; numerous nieces and nephews and many others.


A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 27, 2016, at Ketron Memorial Gardens in Lebanon, with Rev. Jim Fuller officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery.


Pallbearers will be Derick Phillips, Braydon Plaster, Randy Rose, Joseph Rose, and Todd Long.


In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The American Heart Association, www.heart.org, 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060-9979, in memory of the Mills family.
