Lively, VA James Phillip McNeal, Jr. 89 years old Died: July 8, 2016 Born: June 24,1927 Our beloved Father, James, passed away peacefully on Friday afternoon at his home surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl D. McNeal and his parents, James Phillip Sr. and Estelle Clark McNeal. He leaves to cherish his memory his two sons: James Dale McNeal(Angie) and William David McNeal(Susan) and his grandchildren: Carrie Busic(Allen) and James David McNeal(Donna). Great-grandchildren are C. W. Hedges and Tucker Busic. James, also, leaves brothers and sisters: George McNeal(Shirley), Dennis McNeal(Shirley), Helen Hollowell; JoAnne Morris (Chester); Frances Boswell(Don); Debbie Stosch (David). He had many nieces, nephews and cousins. He leaves a beloved friend, Frances Dameron. James has accomplished many things in his life-time. They include receiving the "Unsung Hero and Man of the Year Award " from Trinity Church. He was a lifetime member of Lebanon Baptist Church. James was a Charter member and Past Chief of the Upper Lancaster Volunteer Fire Department and member of the Upper Lancaster Ruritan Club. He was a retired Plant Manager for Virginia Seafood and he was a WWII veteran. The funeral ceremony will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at Lebanon Baptist Church, Alfonso. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM on Monday, July 11, 2016 at Currie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock.
