Barbara Ann "Ban" Jett Deihl, 80, died July 25, 2016 at the Lancashire Convalescence and Rehab Center in Kilmarnock, VA. Barbara was the widow of Kenneth "Red" Deihl. She was a life member of Afton United Methodist Church in Ophelia, VA and a retired secretary for Cowart Seafood. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth "Red" Deihl and daughter, Sheri Beatley. She is survived by a son, Kendal J. Deihl(Denise) of Ophelia and grandchildren, Chris(Liz) of New Kent, Kendal Deihl, Jr. of Clovis, New Mexico and Loren Deihl of Richmond, VA. She has a great-granddaughter, Kayleigh Beatley and a sister, Katherine Harrison of Richmond. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p. m. Friday, July 29, 2016 at Afton United Methodist Church, Ophelia, Va . Family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p. m. Thursday, July 28 Currie Funeral Home,Kilmarnock.
