Norman Patterson

Norman E. "Pat" Patterson, 92, of Weems, Virginia passed away on October 5, 2016. He was a World War II Army veteran. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Betty Patterson; daughter, Frances P. Lee (Foster) of Weems, Va.; grandchildren, Melanie L. Stephens (Greg) of Mechanicsville, Va. and Kevin Lee (Jamie) of Moseley, Va. and great grandchildren, Rachel Stephens and Nathan, Colby and Dustin Lee. Pat was a retired State of Virginia employee having worked in many positions with his last job as a Ferry Boat Operator. He will be greatly missed and remembered for his special smile and his love for others. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Hospice of Virginia and to his other special caregivers for the compassionate care that they provided. . Funeral services will be held 2:00 p. m. Monday, October 10, 2016 at Irvington United Methodist Church, Irvington. Interment will follow the service at White Stone United Methodist Church Cemetery. Family will receive friends 3:00 to 5:00 p. m. Sunday, October 9 at Currie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Virginia, 1328 Tappahannock Blvd., P. O. Box 2098, Tappahannock, VA 22560 or Irvington United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 178, Irvington, VA 22480.
