Mr. William “Ray” Harris, age 65 of the Tunnel Road section of Honaker, Virginia passed away Saturday (July 30, 2016) in a Lebanon, Virginia hospital. Born September 25, 1950 in Honaker, Virginia, he was a son of the late Winston Ivory and Mescle Irene Honaker Harris. He was a very kind man who never met a stranger. He loved everyone he met, but had a special love for children and animals. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia Bissel Harris; two daughters, Jennifer Lynn Harris and Sherry Rae Harris; one brother, Raymond Lloyd Harris and one brother-in-law, Earl Musick. Survivors include his loving wife, Sherry Lou Harris of the home; four brothers, Paul Wayne Harris and wife, Chris and Joe Dale Harris and wife, Lorraine both of Honaker, Virginia, Donald Lee Harris of La Carne, Ohio and Mark Ervin Harris and wife, Suzie of Oak Harbor, Ohio; four sisters, Helen Irene Musick of Honaker, Virginia, Mary Jean Harrison and husband, Ken of Tazewell, Virginia, Wilma Fay Harris of La Carne, Ohio and Delia Mae Musick and husband, Douglas Wayne of Saluda, Virginia; two brothers-in-law, Joe Blanchong and Ray Blanchong and wife, Nancy and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews also survive. A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at Finney Community Center from 3pm to 6pm Saturday (August 6, 2016).
