Deborah Helton

Deborah Jean “Debbie” Helton, age 56, of Honaker, Virginia, passed away Saturday (October 15, 2016) at her home. Born January 20, 1960 in Richlands, Virginia, she was a daughter of Katherine Marie Helton of Honaker and the late Earl Kennes “E.K.” Helton. She was a lifelong resident of the Honaker area. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Ira and Bertha Helton, and maternal grandfather, Maven Compton. In addition to her mother, survivors include one son, Randy Stanley Helton of Honaker; her fiancé, Carter Harris; maternal grandmother, Zora Compton; four sisters, Judy Harris and husband, Charles, Linda Harris and husband, Nolon, Brenda Childress and husband, Michael, and Peggy Harris; a host of family and friends also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 PM Tuesday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Roy Lee Wilson officiating. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday in the Helton Cemetery on Stinson Ridge, Virginia. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to assemble at the cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jonathan Childress, Jeffery Harris, Dewayne Harris, Billy Holbrook, Michael Heredia, Aron Heredia, and David Harris. Honorary pallbearers will be Ryan Heredia, Curtis Green, Ethan Green, and Jonathan Musick. The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6:00 PM Tuesday.
