David Farmer

Mr. David Farmer, age 59, of Honaker, Virginia, passed away Wednesday (August 10, 2016) at his home. Born June 13, 1957 in Richlands, Virginia, he was a son of Alice Nuckles Farmer of Honaker, Virginia and the late Leonard Farmer. A lifelong resident of the Russell County area, he attended Lebanon Church of Christ. He had formerly been employed as a roofer with Johnson Brothers Roofing and had also worked at Bristol Compressors for several years. In addition to his mother, survivors include one son, Scottie Farmer of Honaker; two sisters, Gaynell Bostic and husband, Rick of Honaker and Betty Harrison and husband, Eddie of Abingdon; two brothers, Johnny Farmer and wife, Rosa of Honaker and Delmer Farmer and wife, Angela of Abingdon; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Bro. Ron Epling and Bro. Keith Hovis officiating. Interment will follow in Ketron Memorial Gardens at Lebanon, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Lee Farmer, Dustin Farmer, Zack Farmer, Luke Harrison, Ethan Farmer, Scott Gilmer, Brian Owens, and Max Owens. Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Arrington, Larry Ball, Roger Owens, and Skip Ramsey. The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6:00 PM Friday.
