Cassie Jo McGlothlin Kiser, age 33, of the Wysor Valley section of Honaker, Virginia, passed away Monday (September 5, 2016) in a Richlands, Virginia, hospital. Born July 12, 1983 in Richlands, Virginia, she was a daughter of Richard Keith and Sherry Rebecca Alford McGlothlin of Honaker, Virginia. A lifelong resident of the area, she was of the Baptist faith. A 2002 graduate of Honaker High School, she enjoyed spending her time baking, doing craftwork, but most of all, being a mommy. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Gene McGlothlin. In addition to her parents, survivors include three daughters, Meghan Kiser, Madi Kiser, and Makenize Kiser; one son, Jaxon Parker Steffey; one sister, Chassidy McGlothlin Harris and husband, Ronnie; maternal grandparents, Mary and Lewis Griffith; paternal grandmother, Lois McGlothlin; special friends, Niki Deel and Brittany Lester; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends also survive. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff of Clinch Valley Medical Center in Richlands, Virginia for the kindness and care that they extended Cassie and her family. God saw you getting tired And a cure was not to be So he put His arms around you And whispered "Come to me." With tearful eyes we watched you As you slowly slipped away And though we loved you dearly We couldn't make you stay. Your golden heart stopped beating Your tired hands put to rest God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Phillip Cook officiating. Interment will follow in the Clinch Valley Memorial Cemetery at Richlands, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Jacob Harris, Kevin McGlothlin, William Murray, Daniel Murray, Randall McGlothlin, and Jackie Honaker.
