Amy Leann Belcher, age 32, of Honaker, Virginia, passed away Monday (July 13, 2015) in a Bristol, Tennessee hospital. Born November 9, 1982, she was a daughter of Barry Clifton Belcher of Honaker and Pamela Lou Hall Belcher of Castlewood, Virginia. A lifelong resident of the area, she was a 2000 graduate of Honaker High School and attended Southwest Virginia Community College. She was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed reading, especially Stephen King novels, and was a very talented writer, having been awarded for some of her essays. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Claude and Mildred Hall, her paternal grandfather, Ballard Belcher, and cousin, Nick Belcher. In addition to her parents, she was survived by one brother, Clifton Belcher and fiancée, Rebecca Hagy of Council; fiancé, Scott Barker of Lebanon; paternal grandmother, Rosemary Belcher of Honaker; aunts and uncle, Christine Funk, Larry and Loretta Belcher, and Laura Woodyard; several cousins and many friends also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Stephen Musick officiating. Interment will follow in the Fletcher Cemetery at Finney. Relatives and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6:00 PM Thursday.
