Virginia Mullins

Virginia Margaret “Gen” Mullins, Gen, as she was affectionately called by family and friends died Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at her home on Osborne Branch Road in Grundy, Virginia. She was 68 years old. She was born November 6, 1947, and was the daughter of the late Melvin and Victoria Ward Mullins. Gen was a loving wife who enjoyed gardening, camping, traveling, flea marketing, and especially being a homemaker. She was a member of the Bee Branch Primitive Baptist Church in Paynesville, West Virginia for over 30 years. She loved her brothers and sisters dearly. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Norma Keen and four brothers: Harold, Henry, Donald, and Teddy Mullins. She is survived by her husband of thirty-four years, Elza Mullins. Other survivors include: Two Brothers Roscoe and Samuel Mullins of Grundy, Virginia Three Sisters Carma Ratliff of Leemaster, Virginia Patty Conley and Eleanor Bennett of Grundy, Virginia She is also survived by so many nephews, nieces, great nephews, great nieces, great-great nephews and nieces that we cannot mention them all, but she loved them very, very much. Funeral services for Virginia Margaret “Gen” Mullins will be held on Friday, April 1, 2016, at the Virginia Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 A.M. Officiating the service will be Elder Kenneth Mullins, Elder Blake Mullins, and Elder Darrell Mullins with burial to follow in the Melvin Mullins Family Cemetery on Osborne Branch near the home place. There will be a service on Thursday, March 31, 2016, at the Virginia Funeral Home Chapel at 7:00 P.M. The family will receive friends at 6:00 P.M. Serving as Pallbearers will be family and friends. Virginia Funeral Home of Grundy is in charge of the arrangements.
