Pamela R. France – Gray, TN Pamela R. France, 67, Gray, TN went to be with “my Jesus”, as she often said, Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Wellmont Bristol Regional Medical Center. Pam was born in Sullivan County, TN on November 17, 1948. She was the daughter of the late J. Harvey and L. Estle (Bishop) Tipton. In addition to her parents, her brothers and sisters, James Tipton, Ralph Tipton, Lillie Mae Thacker, Ivon Tipton, Charlie Tipton, Phyllis Osborne, and Claude Lee Tipton; several brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter, Gwen Parker and husband, David, Kingsport, TN; son Marty France, Bluff City, TN; grandchildren, Laken Parker, Jessica Parker, and Jared France; sisters, Judy Pendleton and husband, Wayne, Gate City, VA and Joyce Dockery and husband, Jimmy, Gate City, VA; special friend, Linda Thompson, Hiltons, VA; along with several sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Saturday, July 23, 2016 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Cecil Kerns, Rev. Eugene White, Pastor Mark Ball, and Amos Rhoton officiating. Danny Moneyhun will provide the music. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Sunday, July 24, 2016 at the Rollins Cemetery, Rye Cove, VA. Her grandson, Jared France and nephews will serve as pallbearers. Family and friends are asked to meet at Gate City Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. to go in procession to the graveside service.
