Ona Ruth Poole– Weber City, VA Ona Ruth Poole, 72, Weber, VA received her angel wings, Friday, July 29, 2016 at NOVA Health and Rehab in Weber City, VA surrounded by her loving family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who had a love for cooking, gardening and travel. Ona was born in Scott County, VA on April 24, 1944. She was the daughter of the late Homer and Alberta (Bishop) Roberts. She retired as a CNA from Brian Center and was a caregiver for many years. In addition to her parents, her husband, Earl Russell Poole, (July 2004); granddaughter, Sarah Poole; sister, Mary Maya; brothers, Lee Connie Roberts and Kelly Ray Roberts preceded her in death. Her survivors include her daughters, Grace Lynne Steffey and Devon, Kingsport, TN, Connie Dianne Davis and Shannon, Mount Carmel, TN; son, Russell Poole, Jr, and Brittany, Duffield, VA; sisters, Judy Poole and Sam, Gate City, VA, and Susie Malone and Frank, Kingsport, TN; brothers, Roy Roberts and AnnaBelle, Clinchport, VA, Buddy Roberts, Clinchport, VA, and Randy Roberts and Deborah, Weber City, VA; grandchildren, Justin Kerns, Alexis Steffey, Alex Steffey, Abigail Steffey, Hunter Davis, Edward Poole, Sierra Poole, and Ada Poole; great-grandchildren, Logan Lifford and Cameron, Allison, and Isabella Kerns; special niece Susie Kay Wilder and Al, Kingsport, TN; sisters-in-law, Gladys Roberts and Sue Roberts; along with several other nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Sunday, July 31, 2016 at the Gate City Funeral Home, and other times at the residence of her daughter, Connie Davis. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Willie Neeley, Rev. Kevin Vincent and Rev. George Gibson officiating. Eddie and Pam Roberts, Patsy Hensley, David and Debbie Easterling will provide the music. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 1, 2016 at the Ridge View Cemetery, Snowflake Community, Scott Co. VA. Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
