Myranell Sanders Addington-Gate City, VA Myranell Sanders Addington, 75, of Gate City, VA passed away at Wellmont Holston Valley Hospital on Thursday, September 29, 2016. Myranell was born on August 11, 1941 in Scott Co, VA to the late Thomas Hugh and Geneva Olene Sanders. She was also preceded in death by her sisters Rozetta Moran and Anneva Hommell. She was a member of Gate City United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband; Buster K. Addington, Gate City, VA; daughters, Kim Shaffer and husband, Mark and Sherry Kilgore, Gate City, VA; son, B. K. Addington and wife Denise, Gate City, VA; grandchildren; Summer Hamrick, Justin Addington, Logan Russell, Hannah Kilgore, Rachel Kilgore, and Sarah Kilgore; great grandchildren, Jonas Hamrick, Riley Russell, Ava and Brooks Addington; sisters, Mildred Coit, Alexandria, VA, Maxie Brickey, Gate City, VA, and Queenie Carter, Weber City, VA; brother, Hugh Sanders, East Lake, OH; along with several nieces and nephews. It was the wishes of Myranell to be cremated. The family will hold a fellowship gathering to celebrate the life of Myranell from 1:00-3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 2, 2016, in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the Gate City Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Gate City Methodist Church or your charity of choice. There will be an online guest register for the Addington family at www.gatecityfunerals.com. Gate City Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Myranell Sanders Addington family.
