Millie Lane – Gate City, VA Millie Hazel Lane, 65, Gate City, VA passed away, Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at Ridgecrest Manor, Duffield, VA. Millie was born in Scott County, VA on May 31, 1951. She was the daughter of the late Johnny and Sarah Margaret Lane. In addition to her parents, her husband, Mack Junior Perry; grandsons, Allen Dwayne Lane and Cody Allen Lane; sisters, Bertie McCracken, Clara McConnell, and Gladys Darnell; and brothers, Emmitt Lane and George Lane preceded her in death. She is survived by her children, Linda Sparks and husband, Chris, Dungannon, VA and sons, Gene Allen Lane and wife, Kim, Clinchport, VA and Roger Dale Lane and wife, Janice, Dungannon, VA; grandchildren, Kristie Diane Lane, Kimberly Ann Falin, Melinda Kay Gibson, LaShae Hazel Lane, Tony Allen Gibson, Logan Allen Lane, Jason Dewayne Lucas, and Christopher Dale Lane; 10 great grandchildren; sisters, Susie Faye Darnell and husband, Buck, Clinchport, VA and Annie Gibson and husband, Kyle, Ft. Blackmore, VA; along with several nieces, nephews, and many friends. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Sunday, August 7, 2016 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Jim Gibson and Rev. Danny Darnell officiating. Southern Boys will provide the music. Graveside services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m., Monday, August 8, 2016 at Hill Station Cemetery, Clinchport, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m., Monday to go in procession to the graveside service. The family wishes to extend their thanks to Dr. Todd Cassell and staff, to Ridgecrest Manor and staff for their loving care, especially to Amanda and Jennifer for taking such good care of Mom, to Clinchport Worship Center whom she loved their visits and their singing, and many thanks to Audrey Murphy for her help with everything.
