James A. Kilgore Sr. – Weber City, VA James A. Kilgore Sr. loving husband of 65 years; beloved dad, and greatest “papaw 2 hands”, 86, Weber City, VA passed away, Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at his residence surrounded by family. James was born in Scott County, VA on September 28, 1929 to the late Roy W. and Barbara McConnell Kilgore. In addition to his parents; his Sister-in-law, Norma Jean Kilgore and brother, Roy W. Kilgore Jr. preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Reba Nell Culbertson Kilgore, Weber City, VA; son, James Allen Kilgore Jr. and wife, Sherry, Kingsport, TN; brother, Joe T. Kilgore and wife, Helen; grandchildren, Cindy Haren and husband, Michael, Kingsport, TN, Brian Kilgore and wife, Melissa, LeighAnn Rasnake and husband, Travis; great grandchildren, Hunter Haren, Brayden Pauley, Haley Haren, Mackenzie Kilgore, Grayson Pauley, Braxton Rasnake; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. On Saturday, July 2, 2016 the family held a private service in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Craig Culbertson officiating.
