-Charles Wayne Tittsworth – Como, MS Charles Wayne Tittsworth, 62, Como, MS, formally of Gate City, VA went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto, Southaven, MS. He was born in Scott County, VA on February 26, 1953. He was the son of the late John Roller and Hazel Roberta Pratt Tittsworth. Charlie graduated from Gate City High School, class of 1971 and went on to attend Virginia Tech University. He was an employee of Loomis Inc. for over 20 years. In addition to his parents; his mother-in-law, Doris Jones and his brother, Tom Tittsworth preceded him in death. Surviving is his wife of 43 years, Marilyn Jones Tittsworth, Como, MS; father-in-law, Clayton Burl Jones, Gate City, VA; daughter, Ashley Garrett, Gate City, VA; son, John Tittsworth and wife, Jill, Boise, ID; brother, Ben Tittsworth and wife, Linda, Gate City, VA; grandchildren, Madi, Cooper, Gunner, Kennedy, Clayton, Carter, Cade; best friend and hunting buddy, Bill Sparks; along with several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Sunday, August 30, 2015 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Richard Jones officiating. Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00 am, Monday, August 31, 2015 at the Jones Cemetery in the Yuma Community of Scott County, VA. Loomis Employees will serve as pallbearers. Joe Russell, Jim Fields, Ronald Whitlock, Jeff Ingram, Jim Crawford, Gary Graves, Keith Story, Bobby Bratton, John Bell, Mike McCurry, Garland Crawford, Randy Smith, Cliff England and Benny Scaife will serve as honorary pallbearers. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 9:00 am to go in procession to the graveside service. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made in Charlie’s name to Harmontown Baptist Church, County Rd. 58, Como, MS 38619 or to a charity of your choice.
