CHESAPEAKE – Lloyd Lee “Duke” Allen, Sr., 74, of the 600 block of Luray Terrace, went to be with the Lord April 14, 2010 in Chesapeake. A native of Norfolk, he was the son of the late LeRoy and Nettie Davis Allen. Mr. Allen served in the US Army, and was retired with 32 years of service as a Police Officer with the City of Chesapeake. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, Gideons International, Chesapeake West Camp and the F.O.P. Lodge #9 Chesapeake. He is survived by his wife, Neolia T. “Lee” Allen; three sons, Lloyd L. Allen, Jr. and his wife, Linda of Chesapeake, Terry Allen and his wife, Deanna of Kansas City, James K. Brown of Dayton, OH; three daughters, Leigh Ann Allen of Virginia Beach, Marcia Griffin and her husband, Charles and Neolia F. Edwards and her husband Doug of Chesapeake; twelve grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Immanuel Baptist Church with Pastor Dave Libengood officiating. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park.
