Melvina Miller

Melvina Lee Miller passed away September 8, 2016 in Groesbeck, Texas at the age of 55. Funeral services will be 4:00 p.m., Monday, September 12, 2016 at Blair-Stubbs Chapel with Chaplain Jon Honea officiating. Interment will follow in the Forest Glade Cemetery. Chris Sides, Larry Fox, Clifton Fox, Dylan Tidwell, Dusty Newsom and Terry Richard Reel, IV will serve as pallbearers. Visitation with the family will be 5-7 p.m., Sunday, at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. Melvina was born in Dallas, Texas on August 6, 1961 to Jim D. Fox and Minnie Baldree Garcia. She was a true country girl at heart. She loved being outdoor, especially fishing, gardening or watching the wildlife around Ft. Parker. She also enjoyed doing art work. Whatever she was doing, you could be assured Melvina’s faithful companion, Blue, would be by her side. Her dog, Blue, was a special part of her family; she loved Blue. Melvina was a loving daughter, wife and sister. She will truly be missed by her family and all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her father, Jim Fox; mother, Minnie Garcia; step-father, Victor Garcia; and brother, Clarence Fox. Melvina is survived by her loving husband, James H. Miller of Groesbeck; brothers, Larry Fox and wife, Terry, Gordon Carlson and wife, Debbie and Van Carlson and wife, Renee; sisters, Patsy Blair and Cynthia Winter and husband, Carl; step-mother, Peggy Fox; a number of nieces and nephews; and a number of great-nieces and great-nephews. Melvina’s family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the Windsor Healthcare in Groesbeck and the Manor Healthcare in Mexia for their special care.
