Anita Gaona Gomez, 63, passed away at her home in Mexia on June 12, 2016. A celebration of Anita’s life will begin Monday afternoon, June 13, 2016 and continue through Tuesday, June 14, 2015 at Iglesia Mision Pentecostal Church. Graveside service and interment will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 15, 2016 in the Mexia Cemetery with Pastor Carlos Mora officiating. Anita was born in Ciudad Acuna, Mexico on January 6, 1953 to Reyes Gaona and Ramona Pargas. She married Pedro Gomez in Mexico in 1968. She was a loving wife and mother. She was anxiously awaiting the arrival of her first grandchild and looking forward to meeting granddaughter, Jenesis Gracyanne. Anita enjoyed spending time with her family, church family and actively participating in church activities. She also enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She was a member of Assemblies In Christ Church. She was preceded in death by her parents. Anita is survived by her husband, Pedro Gomez of Mexia; son, Jaime Gomez and wife, Jovana Ryanira of Groesbeck; soon to be granddaughter, Jenesis Gracyanne Gomez; and sister, Maria Gaona; brothers, Panfilo Gaona, Nazario Gaona and Gilberto Gaona; and a number of nieces and nephews.
