Robert Transue

Robert (Bob) Leonard Transue entered into eternal rest on July 8, 2016 at the age of 50. He was born on October 12, 1965 to James Leonard and Lillian Transue in San Antonio, TX. As a child Bob participated in Little League Baseball and the Bexar County 4-H club. He attended St. Margaret Mary’s School and Graduated from Highlands High School in 1981. Bob worked for the family Lumber Company and for T and M Aviation. He began his career as a home builder working for Rayco Homes. He worked for David Weekly and Statler Custom Homes before starting his own company Transue Construction. He built many custom homes in the La Vernia and San Antonio area. Most recently he worked for Jon Wayne Service Company as Construction Superintendent. He was a skilled craftsman, hunter, fisherman and pilot. He was preceded in death by his brother, James W. Transue; parents, James L. Transue and Lillian R. Transue; Bob is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Cheryl and daughter Megan; step son, Charlie Martin and wife Lori; step grandchildren, Lane, Chloe, Jaden and Chase; step daughter, Jenny Martin; three siblings, Betty and James Klar, Patricia and Ernie Jarzombek, and Mary and Paul Davis; multiple nieces and nephews, Kathy Bazany, Jeannie Ollis, Cheryl Trim, Chris Jarzombek, Shawn Hernandez, Jimmy Transue Jr., Brian Kielty, and Michael Kielty.; brother and sister in laws Donald and Pam Rackler and Danny and Jackie Laskowski and a multitude of friends. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at Finch Funeral Chapel- La Vernia. Funeral Service will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at the funeral home. Rusty Henley will officiate the services. Interment will follow at Concrete Cemetery.
