Ronnie Archer Obituary

Ronnie Dale Archer - born November 20,1950, passed into our Lord’s hands on August 26, 2016. Born the youngest of five children, Ronnie got the attention every child needs and was protected by three sisters and a brother that treated him as their own. Ronnie was such a faithful servant to his church, his family, and his friends, and was also a descendant of the first family to settle in Humble, Texas. Ronnie was proud of his heritage and was a familiar face around the Humble area. In 1969, Ronnie graduated from Humble High School and went on to continue his education as he found finance and accounting to be his calling. In 1971, Ronnie married his true love, Debbie and they shared 45 years of total happiness and supported each other 100%. With the birth of their son Kyle and daughter Melissa, Ronnie's role of fatherhood was filled with a perfect love. A hard worker, dedicated family man, and a gentleman of faith and grace, he gave his family what is called a true husband and dad. A lengthy banking and financial background led Ronnie to a wonderful 33 year career with Gulf States Abrasive where he worked as the Chief Financial Officer. Consistent organization with his books, reports, and expectations are what kept his 45 working years on a successful path. After the first year of gaining a wonderful son-in-law, another success Ronnie got to enjoy were his two granddaughters, Kayden and Isabella. They have been the light to his happiness for the last seven years and he was always ready for the hugs and kisses only G-Pa could give and get. G-Pa was and is such a bright spot to us that several other called him G-Pa and he was absolutely thrilled to share his grand title. Ronnie was an encourager to his wife and children and made sure they were taken care of no matter what time of day or night it was. A typical spouse and father in some ways - yet an exceptional husband and dad in all others. Bright and intelligent are what described Ronnie well - yet humor is not to be any less accurate either. Sarcastic humor created smirks, smiles, and even gut bouncing laughter. A chain reaction of laughter was often seen around a table Ronnie was at - and if you ever shared a humorous moment with him, it meant he really liked being around you and enjoyed your company. So, Ronnie - dad, enjoy your sweet eternal reward....may it be more than you ever dreamt. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, September 1, 2016, at First Assembly of God Church, 1915 FM 1960 Bypass Rd. East, Humble, Tx. 77338. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, September 2, 2016, at First Assembly of God Church in Humble. Interment will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park, in Humble, Tx.
