Services for Jackie Lynn Gipson, 78, of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 10 a.m., Thursday, June 23, 2016, at First Baptist Church of Fruitvale with Bro. Gary Vaughn and Steven Stanley officiating. Burial will be in Shields Cemetery under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. Mr. Gipson passed away June 19, 2016, in Grand Saline. He was born August 17, 1937, in Grand Saline to Vera Savage & John Wesley Gipson Sr. He spent most of his life in Grand Saline where he retired as a truck driver. He was a “jack of all trades”. Jackie was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty Lou Cardwell Gipson; daughter, Teresa Robinson; son, Brandon Lee Gipson; grandson, Jerry Wayne Thompson; and five brothers & sisters. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Dale & Petra Gipson of Van and Randy & Cindy Gipson of Fruitvale; sister, Nancy Etheridge of Canton; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be Matt Gipson, Jackie Gipson, Tyler Jones, Mark Foster, Dale Williams and Pecos Williams. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at the funeral home.
