Our beloved Felipe "Philip" Acosta, III, age 37, was called to serve our Heavenly Father surrounded by family and friends, on Saturday, October 22, 2016. Philip was born in Austin, Texas on September 8, 1979. He graduated from Austin High School. He worked as a contractor and driver. His most recent project was working as a background actor in the upcoming television production of “The Son.” Philip lived life to the fullest. His greatest passion was being with family and friends. He treasured acts of kindness and his gentle spirit touched everyone around him. He leaves a legacy of befriending and helping others. Philip was a loving son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. He is survived by his parents, Philip Acosta, Jr. and Imelda Acosta, his brother and sister-in-law, David Acosta and Katherine Acosta, his nephew Lincoln Acosta, and many loving family members and friends. The family would like to thank the staff of the Trauma Unit at St. David’s Medical Center South for their heroic efforts to save his life. The Acosta family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 26, 2016. Recitation of the rosary will be at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at Angel Funeral Home. The Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 27, 2016, at St. Ignatius Martyr Church.
