ARLINGTON -- Elizabeth Louise "Betty" Faltot, 88, passed away surrounded by her loving family. Funeral: 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 5819 W. Pleasant Ridge Rd., Arlington. Interment: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, Colleyville. Born and raised in New Kensington PA, Betty graduated from New Kensington High School. After World War II she married Charles and were happily married for over 57 years. She put family above all else, making a wonderful home for her children and years later opening her home to take care of her aging parents. Born and raised Catholic, Betty remained an avid Notre Dame fan her entire life. They frequently attended games at Notre Dame having resided in South Bend IN for twenty years prior to Charles being transferred to Dallas with Associates of North America. Betty retired from Reliance in Dodge, Mishawaka, IN and Dallas, TX. She is a two time cancer survivor having shown uncommon strength during recovery as well as becoming a role model for her children and other loved one's on how to work through tough times. Betty also served as her daughter's inspiration for her involvement with music. She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank J. Surma and Gertrude Wygonik Surma. Husband: Charles W. Faltot Jr., all preceded in her in death. Survived by: Two children David C Faltot (Micky) of Highland Village TX and Jessica Faltot (Rebecca Ratliff) of Arlington TX. Sister Phyllis Sommer of Germantown TN and four grandsons - Richard Faltot Dallas TX, Justin Faltot (Kathy), Atlanta GA, Sean Faltot Atlanta GA and Michael Faltot Highland Village TX.
